Michael Carter (Vocals) and Christopher Main (Guitar) are "Vintage Noise", a jazz and bossa nova duo often backed by a dynamic ensemble of talented musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area. A rarity among bands in the Bay Area, Vintage Noise is colorfully-inspired by the timeless jazz and bossa nova standards of the 1920s to 1960s. Vintage Noise sets the ideal tone and has quickly become a local favorite of the Bay Area and beyond. The talented duo features the insightful and soulful style of jazz guitarist Christopher Main, who offers melodic leads and effortlessly supports the rich vocals of crooner Michael Carter. Their performance provides an unforgettable and engaging experience.

Bay Area native Michael Carter has been treating audiences to his rich vocals and throwback style for the past 10 years. Carter received his first voice lessons from his grandfather Harry Carter, an accomplished musician. Carter later studied under musical greats – Nate Pruitt who provided instruction on vocal technique, and Arthur Junker, who invited the young baritone to sit in on his performances at the prestigious "Bach to Blues"  benefit concerts in 2006 and 2007. With a charismatic style, Carter is helping to bring the art of crooning back into the spotlight.

Christopher Main is a professional arranger, composer, educator, and guitarist. Possessing exceptional improvisational skills and insightful control, Main's performance reveals a maturity beyond his years. Main studied at San Jose State University under Dr. Aaron Lington, Professor Frank Sumares, and acclaimed recording artist and professor of Jazz Studies, Rick Vandivier. His guitars of choice include a Carvin CT6, Fender Telecaster, and Ibanez GB10. Main has been playing guitar for the last nine years blending his love for blues, jazz, and rock to create an exotic and memorable sound.
