Chembo Corniel received a GRAMMY-nomination in 2009 for "Best Latin Jazz Album" Things I Wanted To Do, "a sprinking of be-bop, a touch of swing with a dolop of bomba, rumba, tango and danzon topped with 'un chin' de charanga." Arturo O'Farrill a 2009 GRAMMY winner for Best Latin Jazz Album and a 2012 nominee for Best Large Jazz Album with the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. Néstor Torres has recorded 13 CDs to date. His fifth and seventh records, Treasure of the Heart and My Latin Soul, were nominated for a Latin GRAMMY, and his production This Side Of Paradise won the Latin GRAMMY award in the Pop instrumental category on September 11, 2001. Combined these talented musicians have played with an enormous range of greats, including: Dizzy Gillespie, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Candido, Art Blakey, Grover Washington, Max Roach, Paquito D'Rivera, Paul Simon and Dionne Warwick, just to name a few.
