 onday\, November 5\, 2012.&nbsp\; Hope Uncorked will feature exclusive tas
 tings from dozens California&rsquo\;s premier wineries\, delectable Japane
 se cuisine\, live jazz from the popular Lorca Hart Trio featuring Kenny Wa
 shington and Grupo Falso Baiano\, as well as silent and live auctions feat
 uring&nbsp\; items ranging from affordable cases to rare wines from around
  the world. \n\nHope Uncorked will carry on the tradition of improving and
  enriching the lives of Bay Area youth. Hope Uncorked will continue raisin
 g funds to provide clinical and therapeutic support for young boys and gir
 ls from difficult circumstances who have been placed in our care. \n\nHope
  Uncorked will directly benefit youth suffering from abuse\, neglect\, and
  emotional disorders who find safe haven at the St. Vincent&rsquo\;s Schoo
 l for Boys in Marin and the San Francisco Boys and Girls Homes.&nbsp\; The
  event will also benefit the Treasure Island Child Development Center\, th
 e Canal Family Support Program in Marin and Maureen and Craig Sullivan You
 th Services in San Francisco\, which provide childcare\, after-school\, an
 d summer enrichment programs for low-income families.\n\nGrupo Falso Baian
 o and friends\n\nGrupo Falso Baiano is a choro group that offers a window 
 into the history and diverse culture of Brazil. Choro is one of Brazil's e
 arliest popular musics\, dating back to the late 1800s\, and\, similar to 
 jazz\, it reflects the melding of African rhythms with a melodic and harmo
 nic structure closely resembling Baroque Classical music.\n\nG.F.B.'s expl
 oration of choro spans nearly 100 years\, including everything from the tr
 aditional to more contemporary versions and jazz influenced reinterpretati
 ons.\n\nMusicians: Ami Molinelli (percussion)\, Zack Pitt-Smith (sax and f
 lute)\, Q Morrow (guitar) and Sam Bevan (bass).\n\nLorca Hart Trio featuri
 ng Kenny Washington\n\nDrummer Lorca Hart grew up in Taos\, New Mexico in 
 a musical family. He was exposed to a variety of instruments and musical s
 tyles as a child but early on it became clear that the drumset was his pas
 sion. In high school he started to perform and focus on Jazz. He attended 
 California Institute of the Arts from 1992-96\, studying with Albert &quot
 \;Tootie&quot\; Heath\, Joe La Barbera\, Charlie Haden\, Wadada Leo Smith\
 , and many others. &#8232\;&#8232\;Since that time Lorca has worked consis
 tently in a variety of musical situations\, performing with many of the We
 st Coast's (and beyond) finest artists including : Ralph Moore\, Carmen Lu
 ndy\, Freddie Hubbard\, Calvin Keys\, Stanley Jordan\, Craig Handy\, Kyle 
 Eastwood\, Herman Riley\, Azar Lawrence\, Red Holloway\, Plas Johnson\, Jo
 hn Heard\, Danny Grissett\, Justo Almario\, Bennie Maupin\, Phil Ranelin\,
  Dave Pike\, Don Menza\, Hugh Masekela\, Bobby Rodriguez\, the Clayton Bro
 thers\, Anthony Wilson\, Julian Lage\, storyteller/radio personality Joe F
 rank\, actor/musicians Jeff Goldblum and Peter Weller\, Ronald Muldrow\, a
 nd the Cross Hart Jazz Experience (the project that he co-leads with bass 
 player Ryan Cross). He also leads his own trio featuring Josh Nelson on pi
 ano and Edwin Livingston on bass. Lorca can be heard on recordings by Hugh
  Masekela\, John Heard\, Justo Almario\, Ronald Muldrow\, Dave Pike\, Phil
  Ranelin\, the Cross Hart Jazz Experience\, and the Lorca Hart Trio.
