04/07/09: Yoshi's Names Jason Olaine Yoshi's San Francisco Artistic Director
Yoshi's is very pleased to announce Jason Olaine has been hired as Yoshi's San Francisco's Artistic Director. Following a nine-year stint in New York, Olaine will return to the organization he left in 1999. Olaine was Yoshi's Artistic Director from 1993-1999, dating back to Yoshi's Claremont Avenue days. He will work closely with Yoshi's Oakland's Artistic Director, Peter Williams, in bringing a diverse mix of both jazz and non-jazz artists to Yoshi's San Francisco.

01/20/09: Welcome to 2009
As you may have heard Yoshi's San Francisco is going to be opening up to new types of music. No longer a strictly jazz only room. Not that we're getting rid of jazz at Yoshi's SF altogether, we feel it's a beautiful space and should not be limited to jazz alone. Over the past year we've already hosted some great non-jazz shows including Dean & Britta, Juana Molina, Sam Phillips, Rhett Miller, and Shawn Colvin to name just a few.
