The Salsa Festival on the Fillmore is taking place, July 11th & 12th 2014, on the Historic Fillmore Street in San Francisco.The Festival is a two-day extravaganza featuring salsa lessons, dance performances, live music, and outdoor dancing at the Fillmore Center Plaza.
The Fifth Annual Salsa Festival on The Fillmore is a collaboration between the city of San Francisco, Roy Bennett Productions and the Fillmore Entertainment Corridors business’s. It's an effort to improve the business environment on the Fillmore.
The Salsa Festival on Fillmore is well on its way to becoming one of California’s largest Latin music dance parties. Drawing over 7,000 visitors into the Fillmore Street Jazz Corridor. This two night event features many of the Bay Areas best Salsa Bands, DJ’s and dance instructors. Salsa Festival on Fillmore is held on three blocks of Fillmore St. between Eddy and Geary Streets. Several music clubs, retail shops and restaurants are participating in this event.
We’re anticipating thousands of working class visitors to attend the 2014 Fillmore Salsa Festival. Attendance to this event is unique because it draws from all Bay Areas diverse and ethnic communities.
This Festival is attended by working class people from the entire San Francisco Bay Area and the eight adjacent counties. Whites, Asian, Blacks and Hispanics ranging in ages of 25 yrs to 65 years old. By working with the SF Tourist Bureau we attract visitors from other states and countries. Fillmore St. is a business district. Its main thoroughfare is an entertainment and retail destination for visitors and residents alike. On the Fillmore Entertainment Corridor between Eddy and Geary Streets you can experience the history of Fillmore Jazz and the Bill Gram Fillmore St. Rock & Roll History that’s known worldwide.
