PETE ROCK & CL SMOOTH:

Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth the critically acclaimed Hip-Hop duo emerged onto the music scene in 1991 with their debut EP, “All Souled Out” which was followed by their release of the classic “Mecca and the Soul Brother” LP.

As one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic producer’s, Pete Rock utilized obscure soul and jazz records as sample resources, frequently making use of horn-driven hooks. Lead vocalist CL Smooth’s vocal style tended toward the philosophical. Their signature hit “They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)” has been recognized as one of the most memorable Hip-Hop records of all time. The duo’s “Mecca & the Soul Brother” LP has been acclaimed and praised for the manner in which it’s lyrics, music, and melodies combined to tell soul stirring and honest stories of urban romance and life.

CAMP LO:
Camp Lo is back with the legendary Pete Rock behind the boards for the supergroup and collaboration project: 80 Blocks From Tiffany's. Vol. 1 set listeners up with classic Pete Rock production and Unreleased, Classic and newly recorded versus mixed and conceieved by DJ Mark DiVita (@markdivita) and Trackstar the DJ (@trackstarthedj). The album also spawned the first official single and video "Mic Check" that put the world on notice of Hip-Hop's return to it's BX roots. Vol 2 continues the journey with all original songs produced by Pete Rock and features Talib Kweli, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, M.O.P., Uncle Murda, and soul singer Tyler Woods. 2013 is looking to be a renaissance for true skool hip-hop and 80 Blocks plans on being in the forefront.
