Everybody plays the fool sometime, but not Cuba Gooding. Currently appearing in a successful national tour, Cuba Gooding is on top of things now as much as ever. Having never stopped recording, Gooding is poised to bring his distinct vocal style to fans anxious to hear what this multi-talented artist has to offer.

With over 40 years under his belt as an entertainer, Cuba Gooding continues to thrill audiences around the world with his smooth, unique and captivating voice, all the while remaining a solid part of the musical consciousness of fans both old (The Main Ingredient) and new (as the proud dad of Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. and Image Award nominated actor Omar Gooding). Gooding’s vocals are sampled by 15-time GRAMMY® Award winning Alicia Keys, on her smash single, “You Don’t Know My Name,” which, early in 2004, held the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-hop Singles & Tracks chart for nine straight weeks. Having achieved chart-topping singles with The Main Ingredient, including “Everybody Plays The Fool, “Just Don’t Want To be Lonely,” and many more, Cuba Gooding continues his rich musical legacy by pairing up with his son Omar Gooding to produce a rap infused old school groove on the project 2 Good, while simultaneously working on his own current project “Rebirth.”

Cuba Gooding has toured the world extensively, and has shared the marquee with the very best names in the music business. But Gooding is also extremely proud of his offspring’s success. The aforementioned Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Oscar for his role in the 1996 movie, “Jerry Maguire,” and his sibling, Omar Gooding, starred in the 2003 critically acclaimed sport drama “Playmakers,” the Showtime original series “Barbershop," and is currently filming the network series “Miami Medical.” And, although Gooding’s first love is music, he, himself, has appeared in three feature films, “Roscoe’s Fried Chicken and Waffles,” “Children of the Struggle,” and “Gedo” as well as making an appearance in the Showtime series “Barbershop” with his son Omar, and touring with Shirley Murdoch and David Peaston in the gospel play “Be Careful What You Pray For.”  Currently, Cuba can be seen starring in the Time Life infomercial entitled “Sweet Soul of the 70s” as well as making frequent appearances on QVC for the same.
While simultaneously touring with the super successful concert series, “Soul Jam,” and recording his new CD, Cuba Gooding also works diligently as the spokesperson for The REACH Foundation which helps children in need – physically, socially and financially.  Project Child Save which rescues children who have been kidnapped and sold for the purposes of exploitation is just one of the beneficiaries of REACH.  The REACH Foundation motto is simple – “if in only one life…make a difference.”  Watch for Cuba and friends touring in The REACH Concert Series in early 2013 and help make a difference in a child’s life.

“I hope my new CD will reconnect me with fans from the past, as well as bring new fans into my fold,” Cuba Gooding concludes. “I put my trust in God, and he will guide me to give my very best. I hope to make this my most personal album ever.  I want people to be proud and eager to listen to the message in each song, and to take a little bit into their lives in order to make this world a better place.”

Watch out for “Everybody Plays the Fool: The Cuba Gooding Story” which chronicles the Gooding Family and is targeted to go into production in 2013.  “It is my dream to appear on the big screen with my boys,” says Gooding. Cuba Gooding and his life is truly one of the great American success stories.
