Featuring Dee Spencer & the Gateway High School Jazz Band and Vocal Class and Imanuel Junaedy and his Jazz Trio in opening performances
The play celebrates the magic and mystery of science and is filled with music--jazz, blues, and rock. A very talented artistic staff has been working with the students for over seven months: Ryan Marchand and Samantha Jackson, artistic and musical directors, Imanuel Junaedy, jazz accompanist, Louise Jarmilowicz, costume designer, and Brandon Lumbly, acting coach.
Handful Players, a free children’s musical theatre program in San Francisco’s Western Addition—“The Fillmore”, is committed to helping San Francisco youth develop critical life skills, discover personal ways for creative expression, develop self-confidence, and gain new cultural awareness and a sense of community.
