This year Liebert gives his loyal fans a special treat – the re-release, newly recorded and digitally re-mastered compilation disc ‘Santa Fe’ - only available at his live shows. First released in 2003 entitled ‘The Santa Fe Sessions” this project has grown from the first release to this new one - over the span 8 years; refining, updating and reworking the music.

The project contains several pieces that were not on the original sessions namely the
tracks ‘2 the Night’, ‘Borrasca’ and ‘Santa Fe.’ Looking at the roster of talent for these
recording, the global use of instruments is noteworthy. Fellow musicians recorded
on the disc are: Jon Gagan on basses and keyboards; Robby Rothchild on Djembe and
Cajon; Michael Chavez on Bongos, Dumbek and Timbales; Davo Bryant on Cajon, Udu,
Shikare and Congas; Kanoa Kaluhiwa on Tenor Saxophone; Mike Middleton on Trumpet
and Flugelhorn. New Percussionist Houman Orei performs with Luna Negra for the first
time. The entire project produced and mixed by Liebert.

The new CD is jammed packed with over 70 minutes of fine tuned Ottmar Liebert compositions; from the man who created a new genre – crossing nouveau flamenco, with world music grooves and global back beats. This recording is only available at this year’s live shows. There will be another version released in June that is exclusive to Target.

Ottmar Liebert is widely regarded as a modern virtuoso of flamenco guitar. Since 1990 he has released a total of 26 recordings. Five of his recordings have been nominated for Grammy’s. Liebert has sold over 5 million CD’s in the U.S. and has 30 Gold and Platinum awards to his credit.
