ALBINO! is a San Francisco-based, ten piece Afrobeat ensemble that honors the fiery legacy of Nigerian musical icon and political outlaw Fela Kuti. ALBINO!’s high-energy grooves and explosive stage show are thick with hypnotic percussion, heavy horns, intense dance solos, trippy costumes and infectious group choreography. Thanks in part to the new Broadway musical sensation "FELA!" raising national awareness and curiosity about afrobeat music, ALBINO! is dazzling a rapidly growing audience with its wild San Francisco-style spin on the genre. It's probably no coincidence that ALBINO! won the East Bay Express' "Best Band" award in their recent Best of the Bay issue.
