In revealing what is hoped to lead towards a "rebirth" of a once-thriving jazz district, developers and would-be proprietors of a landmark project in San Francisco's Fillmore area unveiled plans to the media last month for a massive centerpiece of the Fillmore Heritage Center. "I've never experienced a project that had such overwhelming support," said Michael Johnson of EmJohnson Interest, Inc., who was selected by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency six years ago to develop the project. "There was a lot of work for us getting to this point today."
