 y well. Can stretch out on a funk jam as well as handle an intricate Flame
 nco solo. A self-taught guitarist\, he studied jazz in college\, but was a
 lready gigging professionally by then. &ldquo\;I had figured out\, for the
  most part\, what they were doing &ndash\; they basically just told me wha
 t to call it.&rdquo\;\nToured with Merl Saunders\, keyboardist with Jerry 
 Garcia and the Grateful Dead. Also worked with Jerry Garcia Band/Elvin Bis
 hop keyboardist Melvin Seals\, Tower of Power vocalist Lenny Williams\, an
 d bluegrass entertainer Peter Rowan. Extensive experience as studio musici
 an at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley\, Plant Studio in Sausalito\, Prairie Su
 n in Cotati\, Mesa Recording in Sebastopol.\nExtensive background in music
 al theatre including Jesus Christ Superstar\, Evita\, Hair\, Cabaret\, God
 spell\, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (co-composing music for rock adaptatio
 n)\, etc. Has also performed with The Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra and as
  featured soloist in the Performances at 6 series &ndash\; Embarcadero Pla
 za\, San Francisco.
