  Steve Winwood\, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood to form the legendary band Tra
 ffic whose profound influence over rock music remains unquestioned even to
 day.&nbsp\; At 19\, Mason penned the song &quot\;Feelin' Alright&quot\;. F
 irst recorded by Traffic\, this song has since become a rock and roll anth
 em and recorded by dozens of artists\, including Joe Cocker\, who had a ma
 jor hit with the song in 1969.&nbsp\;\nMason departed from the group after
  their second album. In 1969. he headed for the USA to pursue a solo caree
 r.&nbsp\; A prolific artist\, Mason has penned over 100 songs. He struck g
 old with the album &quot\;Alone Together&quot\;\, which is considered a ro
 ck classic. This was followed by five albums for CBS/Sony including &quot\
