At Yoshi's Oakland this week, we have Dave Liebman and his quartet. Dave first came to public view playing with Miles Davis. He recorded for ECM in the 70’s and had a great group called Lookout Farm. He has since played with EVERYBODY, including Elvin Jones, John Scofield, Chick Corea, Bob Moses, Pat Metheny, and a long list of other people. His current group has been together since 1991, and features Vic Juris on guitar. They just won the equivalent of a Grammy in Germany for best Jazz Album.
