Rounding up the West Coast Rebel Soul Summer tour in
Oakland, Martin Luther and his rebel soul army will come
and perform new music from his forthcoming CD. Along with
are musical comrades Cody Chesnutt, who will perform new
music as well as the Bay Area's own Ise Lyfe and Silk E. This is
sure to be the show of the summer with a special birthday
tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Critically acclaimed singer songwriter/ composer Martin Luther has been a Bay Area favorite since he began performing in the late 90's. Fiercely independent he started Rebel Soul Records and has released his first two LP's on his own label. He was enlisted to join forces with The Roots on lead vocal and guitar and has shared stages with the likes of Dave Matthews to Jill Scott and an elite group of others. He has recently been seen on the big screen making his acting debut in the Golden Globe nominated musical ''Across The Universe'' and his performance as well as his castmates has earned a Grammy Nomination. Audiences can expect an evening of elegance as this choir boy turned rocker will turn off the distortion guitar and return to his roots displaying a range of influences and styles. By enlisting some of the new lions of the Bay Area like Kevin Choice and C. Holiday and Silk E and even his family members, Luther and crew will take audiences on a journey into sound covering gospel and jazz classics and introducing original pieces that are sure to make this night one of a kind.  Luther will be debuting material from his forthcoming record, Love is The Hero and will be paying loving tribute to late Michael Jackson.
