Veteran R&B/Soul/Jazz singer/songwriter, PHIL PERRY, launched his career, at the age of 15, as the lead vocalist & writer of the 1970's soul group The Montclairs.

He later joined forces with Montclairs co-leader, Kevin Sanlin, and as a duo - Perry & Sanlin - recorded a pair of albums on Capitol Records in the early 80's.
After the duo separated and nearly a decade later, he once again signed with Capitol, launching his solo career in 1991. His #1 hit, 'Call Me', a remake of Aretha Franklin's 1970 hit, and his debut solo album - The Heart of the Man - established him as an R&B hitmaker.

After four well received albums in the 90's, Perry's 5th solo album - MAGIC - had the odd fortune of being released September 11, 200l – the very day the Singer was scheduled to perform at the World Trade Center for two lunch hour concerts.

Devastated by the tragedy of 911, Perry began recording again when Don Grusin invited him to be a part of the all-star Grammy nominated CD/DVD project 'The Hang' (2004).

Soon after, Perry returned to the recording studio, collaborating with Chris 'Big Dog' Davis, & released four successive albums for Shanachie – Classic Love Songs, Mighty Love, Ready For Love, & The Gift of Love (a duo album with Melba Moore). The 5th Shanachie project, the March 2013 release of SAY YES, is widely acclaimed as Perry's greatest project. SAY YES is continuing to gain recognition in the global marketplace, after entering the jazz charts at the #1 position. The album features five notable covers and five Phil Perry originals.

In the past, Perry’s songs have been recorded by Aretha Franklin, Patti Austin, Dave Koz, Patti Austin, Bobby Caldwell, Ernie Watts, the Montclairs, Noel Pointer, Lee Ritenour, Dave Koz, & Najee, among others.

As a show stopping performer, Perry has become a favorite among audiences in some of the most notable performing arts centers, jazz venues, festivals, & cruises.
His popularity continues to grow world wide, as new listeners discover his electrifying voice & extensive discography.

With the release of his 1989 debut album, Sweet and Saxy, saxophonist-band leader-composer-arranger-producer KIM WATERS was instantly established among the premier Urban Jazz hit makers. Now, after over two decades as a music superstar with 16 Top Ten and 14 #1 singles, 4 #1 CDs and sales in excess of a million album units, Kim again elevates his already luminous career profile to an even higher pinnacle with MY LOVES, his 19th solo album and major label debut.

Resplendent with all the KIM WATERS signature in-the-pocket grooves, seductive melodies, virtuoso improvisations, state-of-the-art production and inspired contributions from his musicians and guest vocalists, MY LOVES, with an even deeper focus on the distinctly rich Urban Music mother-lode, is a soulful, 11-track hymnal in praise of romance - always the essential emotional subtext of any KIM WATERS album - in all its varied shadings, hues, depths, grandeur, yearnings and joyous fulfillments.
