Soul Sisters Productions will be assisting Santana keyboardist David K. Mathews in organizing this epic benefit for former Tower Of Power guitarist Bruce Conte. The Ray Charles Project (featuring David Mathews, Santana vocalist Tony Lindsay, Chris Cain, and other standouts) will host the event. The members of the Project will be joined by Bruce Conte and an all-star cast of current and former members of Tower Of Power, Santana, Cold Blood, Malo, Boz Scaggs, Graham Central Station, The Loading Zone, and other legendary Bay Area bands! Those special musical guests will include: vocalists Rick ("You're Still a Young Man") Stevens, Lydia Pense, & Linda Tillery; keyboardists Chester "CT" Thompson, Tom Coster, Clifford Coulter, & Nate Ginsberg; percussionist Karl Perazzo; horn players Mic Gillette, Renato Caranto, George Brooks, Johnnie Bamont, & Tom Poole; bassist Bobby Vega; drummer Ron E. Beck; and guitarists Ray Obiedo, Jeff Tamelier, & Mike Sasaki. More exciting guests to be announced!

As an insulin-dependent diabetic, Bruce Conte has long had health issues. But since being diagnosed with leukemia in 2011, matters have become more serious. So Dave Mathews and Portland, Oregon's Soul Sisters Productions have teamed up to organize this benefit.

Bruce started playing in bands in his hometown of Fresno, CA in his early teens. Later, he moved to San Francisco to join The Loading Zone. In 1972, Bruce joined Tower Of Power, remaining with them for seven years and seven CDs, including the band's biggest sellers. In 2006, Bruce returned to the T.O.P. fold for a year. T.O.P. is now supporting Bruce in his battle against leukemia.
