Spirited jazz vocalist and songwriter Anna Maria Flechero brings her holiday concert to Yoshi's Oakland performing songs of the season, jazz-inspired originals and songs from the jazz songbook her way and in high energy form. Recently returning from well-received concerts in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania as well as concerts in Hawaii, Ms. Flechero's celebrated vocal delivery fuses her jazz style with the sounds of Motown and the undeniable Latin rhythms of San Francisco's Mission District. Performing with Ms. Flechero are pianist Vince Khoe, guitarist Chris Planas, drummer Richie Aguon, bassist Monico Luis and percussionist Mio Flores. Special Guest vocalist Cheri "Note" Anderson and composer and pianist Mary Watkins round out the concert. Ms. Flechero is known for her "Fourteenth Hour" series of CDs and her work on several compilations distributed throughout Europe and Korea. This concert is presented in association with the San Francisco Filipino-American Jazz Festival.
