 Kymberly Jackson, MFA
Composer, flautist, vocalist, producer, music instructor

"I knew music was my passion when I was just a kid banging on my mom's pots and pans...I felt it in my spirit." Currently Kymberly has produced her first solo CD entitled - "Let Me Make Love to You" Brilliantly displaying her bold composition ability, soft and sensuous vocals, and melodic flute renditions leaving little to the imagination.

Kymberly Jackson began her quest for the perfect union of musician and instrument an an early age experimenting with woodwinds, beginning with the clarinet and percussion section until she found her musical soul mate in the flute.  Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she began classical training at the early age of 12 years old and continued to master the instrument throughout her formal education.  As a graduate of the prestigious Mills College in Oakland, California, receiving her Masters in Music in may 2004, afforded her the opportunity to study under world-renowned Classical flutists, Angela Korregelos and Priscilla Call.

Kymberly has mastered her musical gift from classical Bach to Hip Hop with ease and musical fluidity.  In addition, she is an educator having taught elementary school through college students music and theory.  She is no stranger to music lovers performing and recording throughout the Bay Area and beyond with some of the world's most well know Jazz and R&B artists.  Her stage and recording companions included: Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber, Donni  Osmond, Stevie Wonder, Karen White, Dwayne Wiggins, Pete and Juan Escovedo, El DeBarge, Norman Brown, Ricardo Scales, Walter Beasley, HipHop activist Boots Riley and the Coop, Kev Choice,  among many others.  Her versatility and ability to vacillate successfully between urban contemporary, smooth jazz and classical techniques makes her one of the mot sought after musicians in the industry. Kymberly has performed on man great stages including the Apollo Theatre, Concord Pavillion, and soon to include the fabulous Yoshi's Oakland stage in February 2010.

In addition to her broad warm smile and charming personality, she is an accomplished vocalist, composer and producer. Her goal is to complete her doctorate in educational leadership, compose music for films and multi-media productions, and expand her music production company, Kymberly Jackson Music Productions.
