Yes, you read correctly; your eyes are not playing tricks on you. The multi-platinum, award winning Pop/R&B group COLOR ME BADD is back and the have a new addition to their historic hotness, in the soulful-stylish vocals of Corey Cross. You may have seen him on “Showtime at the Apollo” when Corey made his debut to the world singing Peabo Bryson’s “I’m So Into You.” There, Corey received high accolades from the tough New York crowd which is not easy to do, especially when the performance is coming from someone of the Caucasian persuasion. Nonetheless, the hardcore New Yorkers had a soft spot for this southern gent with mad swag. They were swaying, rocking, smiling and clearly mesmerized as Cross smoothly serenaded the Apollo audience. Even the show’s Queen of Comedy Host Mo’Nique was impressed. At the conclusion of his performance her exact words were, “Corey Cross, that’s how you do it, baby.”

The addition of Cross to the vocal group known for bringing us such number one hits as “I Wanna Sex You Up,” “I Adore Mi Amor,” and “All 4 Love,” seems to be a great fit. They connected after the abrupt departure of former group vocalist Bryan Abrams. Abrams and COLOR ME BADD parted ways due to complications and concerns surrounding Abrams’ health. The split has been bittersweet. Founding member Mark Calderon expressed, “We’ve known Bryan since high school and wish him the best in his solo endeavors, as well as his personal issues.” He continues to say about Cross, “Corey is a great fit. He’s a nice guy with amazing vocal ability. We look forward to a bright future together.”

The future does indeed seem bright for COLOR ME BADD. They are dedicated to giving their fans fresh, new songs that they can enjoy, while keeping the elements of their signature COLOR ME BADD sound that the fans have grown to love and expect. In addition, the group will be performing live shows, releasing a Christmas single, and working with a stellar production team as they get ready to present their new project to the awaiting public in early Spring 2014.

Rest assured, the rebirth of COLOR ME BADD will be well worth the wait!
