Sophisticated Bay Area soulstress Goapele has announced a forthcoming Deluxe Edition of her 2011 Break of Dawn album dropping November 20th, 2012. Building on the album’s widely acclaimed combination of undisputed musical beauty, confidence of purpose, and powerful songwriting, the 13-track Deluxe Edition deepens the coffer by adding three new unheard original songs, including the first single, “For Love.” The track is a moving testament of her commitment and dedication to her musical artistry which was produced by Bedrock of “Milk & Honey” fame.  The deluxe disc also features string-fueled boom bap of "Breakthrough" (featuring an uplifting appearance from Mr. Vegas). In addition to the new songs the Deluxe Edition also includes the intoxicatingly sensual Los Rakas remix of "Play.”

The reissue arrives in wake of the news that “Sparkle,” Goapele’s first feature film will arrive on DVD, on November 30, and that Goapele has been nominated for a Soul Train Award in the “Best Independent R&B/Soul Artist.” The Nomination is, a fitting tribute to her most brilliant piece of work to date which was heralded by The Associated Press as one of the best albums of 2011. From her stunning independently released debut album Even Closer, to Change It All and last years’ milestone Break of Dawn she has earned fans and musical champions ranging from her superstar musical contemporaries Erykah Badu, Mos Def and Kanye West to such legendary luminaries as Prince and Stevie Wonder. She is roundly hailed for consistently delivering emotionally charged yet uplifting soulful cuts that skillfully blend hip hop, jazz, and melodic R&B.
